Impulse magnetic fields.......A question regarding the matter....Please read the text below.

We all know that if we apply a continuous DC voltage to a solenoid we get continuous magnetic field of a specific magnetic field density. My question is if this time instead of continuous voltage it is IMPULSED every 1/2 second to the same solenoid: will it generate a magnetic field of the SAME magnetic field strength as the former example? I know it is not going to be a continuous field. Thank you for your kind attention.
