When you lose a villager in Dark Age, how do you adapt your build order?

So I thought about this during my last match, when I lost a villager during Dark Age due to some Scout attacking my boar-luring villager. The question is: when you lose a villager in Dark Age, do you do your current build order as if you hadn't lost a villager? Or do you create an extra one to compensate for the lose of the villager, keeping the correct number of villagers for the build order?

I usually do the former, so that I don't take too much time to go to Feudal Age and then I pray in order to have enough resources to keep the build order decent; however, I wanted to know what other players do.
