Attempting to modify sounds

Hello, right now my biggest gameplay issues are:

1: I don't keep 100% villager uptime on TC

2: I don't use the hotkeys enough (I know them but forget to use them).

I wanted to mod my game to help me with these things. I attempted today to change the sound files to help myself better remember when to do actions.

To start I just wanted to change the villager sound to someone saying the word villager.

I found most of the sounds in the game, they are located at Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age2HD\resources_common\drs\sounds

After listening to roughly a hundred of them while attempting to find the create villager sound I realized I was going about it the wrong way, and tried to use a tool called audiocomparer to find the sound. Unfortunately the tool didn't work, and was unable to determine the difference between two identical files, so I am now at a loss as to the best way to modify that sound.

Does anyone have experience with editing sounds or have any ideas on how to make myself use more hotkeys.
