Questions about the editor

So I just read a few things about the Age1 Editor on the Heavengames website, but I wonder, do they all apply to DE as well?

• How do I disable the grid, so that I can place things like tree stumps rocks etc freely?

• I've read that you can make the ai change diplomacy at a certain part of the match how?

• Any other tips what you can do with the editor?

I am coming over from Age 2 and I really want to try out new things with this editor, but so far, I just was not able to pull that off.. Ty for helping me! :)
