Playing with friends of different skill level

So recently myself/my wife and a bunch of my friends and their wives have gotten aoe2 hd.

We like playing together but I am much better than everyone else. I'm not ranked or anything but I can generally rush or boom pretty well.

So I am looking for suggestions of game modes and maps to make it more even. We usually have between 4-8 players.

Sudden death seems like it evens the playing field some and obviously they could just always be vs me but just wondering if anyone else had ideas.
