Best trash spam civ in DE

Hello everyone.

I recently picked up the game again (last time I played was a long time ago). I watched a few videos and immediately jumped into ranked, which is still a learning curve.

My question is, late game I find myself in low gold trash wars. So I was wondering which civ would have the advantage in using units that cost no gold.

My bet would be on Aztecs since their pikemen and Skyrims get a strong buff, but they lack scouts.

My second guess would be Persians for the wood only archer line.

This being said, if Aztecs are the strongest trash civ, what’s the second with horseback units?

I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction.
