Why shouldn't I just fast castle every single time? I get there with archers and get behind woodlines, my opponent just goes to a back wood, I try to break through the palisade, he walls behind his wall and a single villager building a market stops an entire army (??????), then he gets to castle, makes 3 knights and I'm dead. Scouts can't get in, man at arms die to a single archer, it's a total waste of time.
