As the title states, i am at a loss Redditors! Its been 20 days since i last have been able to play AoE2:DE. It opens and crashes instantly. I don't reach the menu, nothing. All the solutions offered have not worked, some include: Driver update, OS update, Bios update, faulty ram, Move game location, reinstall, clear cache, verified game installation, Run on other monitor, turn second monitor off, lock refresh rate, disable AMD features in driver software, (suggested by support team) Disable CPU cores, set priority to high or realtime, update vcredist. Disable antivirus (have none) SFC /SCANNOW, Chkdsk, Everything in the book!
I have also been tracking the Steam forums extensively for the past 2 weeks, and there are a LOT of people having CTD problems. Yet not even there nor the official forums was i able to find anything. So, do any of you have a solution for this? Many people seem to suffer from this Launch CTD.
Only error from the dump i got is: "ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The memory could not be %s." & "[rlink - error] 2021/02/12 11:45:26.488 (UTC) XboxPlatform::SetPresence not successful: XboxLiveContext is null"
The first looking like a Memory problem, Yet i use this pc for Heavy Workloads which needs fully functioning RAM sticks or it bluescreens instantly. Second error something with xboxlive, dunno. This is also the only game i get CTD at launch from.
