I Just won my first game against the moderate AI

Like the title says, I beat the moderate AI for the first time.

I had done it before, but I had set up "handicaps" for myself (Such as an AI teamate to help me learn the game, or allowing myself a few restarts to get a perfect dark age).

For the past few days I had been trying to beat the moderate AI with no luck, playing as my new favorite civ (the Mayans), and kept losing because the AI just had this HUGE army he was floating around, not using at all.

Today I finally did a castle drop and got rid of his army, then actually got a big enough eco to send waves of units at them, even made it into Imperial age and started using Trebs. I got rid of all the AI TC's and felt like a god.

Then he resigned.

Thank you so much to this sub for all the tips, they really helped me grow in the long run. I am in no ways perfect at the game, and still have a lot to learn. All the tips you've given have really helped, as well as all the videos you reccomended. Thank you so much again

TL;DR, I beat the moderate AI by myself without any handicaps I set to learn the game and I feel like a god.
