1000 elo standard fast castle viability

At around 1000 elo where APM is garbage, is it worth just walling with vills while going straight to Castle Age without early aggression?

(Not talking from the aspect of learning the game. Early aggression is always helpful to keep enemy on the toes.)

Point being the player investing in troops and the required APM to multi task eco and aggression will be late to Castle Age. And 90% of the time Castle Age troops win vs Feudal troops. I did try it in a couple of games and had massive success. But is it even a viable strategy?
