Historical matches?

Hey fellow aoe2 players,

i played the original the conquerors back in 2001/2002 and now picked up aoe2 HD and am enjoying it. Back then the best player was arch coven. Today it is the Viper. I wondered, what historical matches did i miss in all those years? I recently watched the Kind of the desert final between viper and lerey and i think this will be considered an historical match in the future. I've also read about the bo21 / bo101 between viper and jordan. But what else did i miss in all those years?

It would be nice if people besides just mentioning matches would also add a short description why they consider them as historical :)
