Need some tips for using rag effectively as Odin

I'm a pretty amateur player, tend to hover around 1650 - low 1700s.

I mainly play as Odin, and my way of winning tends to just be constant raiding until they GG. I find though if they start walling effectively I lose pretty quick, and pretty much every game that goes to late heroic-mythic I lose, even if our scores are very similar or I'm even a little ahead as we age up.

This makes me think I must be using rag wrong. It just doesn't seem to be the game changer I'm hoping for, my epic army of heroes seem to get stomped pretty quick by just regular archers and their army of forts. I usually get one TC... but it's never the breakthrough I'm hoping for, and it costs me my whole economy.

What am I doing wrong?
