Known bug? Attacking through palisade wall

I noticed this weekend that in multiple games I was able to attack units through walls (at least, through palisade walls). On at least two occasions, an enemy scout was attacking my palisade wall, and I was able to kill the scout with my vil on the other side of the wall. Anyone else experience this?

I could dig it up in my replays if someone really wants me to, although it would take a while to find because I went on a serious AOE bender this weekend lol
