Stop discriminating against converted units

Put yourself in the shoes of a converted unit for a moment. Every once in a while you notice your new friends get some nice little perks—swords longer then doubled, horses better bred and trained, amours ever more fancy, a college degree in ballistics or chemistry, even—and they are eventually admitted into some elite circle.

But you don't, you aren't. You won't get any of those, ever. Not for lack of trying, not for lack of performance. It's simply denied to you as a converted unit. They accepted you, but only superficially, and they never regard you as truly one of their own. What looks like a path to citizenship is a blind alley career-wise. Once a spearman, always a spearman. Once a battering ram, you'll never become the siege ram in shining amour you dreamed of, never get to make that clinking metallic sound when working on your favorite farms, and when your number is up you die a drab muddy mess not a shining metallic one.

What have you done to deserve this? Nothing, really, other having a little exposure to arguments from the other side, and not having so much of the so-called "faith" which is just some people's way of avoiding calling it "blind belief based on no evidence", which is what it is. So basically you are discriminated against, you are made to suffer, for having an open mind. This is wrong in so many ways.

This discrimination should stop. And it can. Huskarls and tarkans used to have a "separate but equal" problem but that got fixed. There is no reason the current, rampant, open and cruel discrimination against converted units should be allowed to continue. Let's stop it!
