AOE2 HD Steam won´t start on Windows 10

Hi Community,

I recently discovered that there was the HD edition for AOE2 available on steam and wanted to run it on my PC using windows 10.

Unfortunately I only get the lobby where I can press play then a white screen with a developers studio logo comes and the music plays but after a second it just crashes the game.

I have this behaviour on my laptop as well also using windows 10.

I found a solution by renaming the AOK-HD.exe to Launcher but that did not fix the issue as well.

Has anybody an idea what else I can try?
