Did they make the being attacked notification sounds happen more often now?

I have been playing after a few weeks break and I noticed that the alarm you get when you are being attacked is happening SO obnoxiously it’s frustrating to deal with and ruins the game a little bit. Anyway to lower the amount it rings? I don’t remember it being this frequently
