Difficulties against mixed goths

Hey everyone.

I usually use Persians and in imperial I go for paladins + crossbows. In theory it should be a perfect combination.

Against Goths Crossbows kills halberdiers and Paladins kill Hukarls. The problem is that when they mix them crossbows get stuck hitting huskarls and so they do not shoot halberdiers that kills my paladins freeing the way for the huskarls to kill my crossbows.

I feel like it should be something easy, like "hey you crossbow, shoot only halberdiers and we win" but I can't do that. I can only micro but it's impossible, I can shoot just one halberdier every time and it's overkill.

What do you do?

i mean the biggest point is that against other civs, even if crossbows doesn't target halberdiers but someone else someday they will kill him and they could start hitting an halberdier. With goth once he start hitting an huskarl it never end because he never dies.
