Linear teching gamemode

Simple idea for a gamemode: techs automatically come in at set timepoints. So after minute 8 everyone gets feudal. Minute 20 Everyone gets castle, Minute 36 Everyone gets Imperial etc.

Its pretty balanced as-is already with how RM is (there shouldnt be any need for balance changes). Bonuses will still operate normally (magyars still get attack bonus as an age hits before everyone else), (vikings will still get to the next age probibly 6m before other civs). Other eco bonuses like vietnamese and bulgars would probibly be a straight shipment of resources when the research hits (like being given 200 food for the feudal eco bonuses when that hits).

The whole premise of this is to put a much greater focus on large-scale battles and less on economy early on. So much larger feudal presense, linear gameplay focus with each civ still being important. It wouldnt trivalize anything but rather make an importance more on every aspect of the game, dark age having more resources means you can either wall early on heavier banking up for a big feudal push, or go into more aggressive drush war, which could turn into a maa snowball on the opponent's walls. So having like 10 militia by minute 10 and not having your economy behind can cause a change in strategies.

Overall im curious how players would feel about this?

The goal would be to make the game a more competitive and linear experience for players, mistakes early on would have less of an impact as the game progresses. It would be a kind of middle-ground between DeathMatch & Random Match having free resources come in (in the form of free techs, economy is still a major importance) but not completley throwing out the other aspects of the game (dark, feudal etc.)

The timings for upgrades is also something for debate. Should it be a standard feudal timing (like going 20 pop scout rush) or be cut back since the resource investment isnt needed as much, allowing for more feudal combat and lowering the abilities of walls (like feudal teching as 14-16th vil is made)?

When should bloodlines come in? When should armor come in? Attack? etc. Possibly have them randomized to some degree (to make this gamemode work at all you would probibly need to see what tech is coming in next, which could be accomplished in many ways.
