Age of Empires II: Roleplay

Hey there, just making a post here to see if anyone would be willing to group up for some role-play sessions. I understand that role-play in the aoe 2 community doesn't tend to go far beyond the realm of what is known as "Diplomacy," so for the uninitiated I'll give a brief description of what it is, at least in the case of what I want to bring to the table.

Age of Empires II Roleplay is a game type where the chat system is utilized for in-character writing consisting of updates on nations, the interactions of key characters such as renowned Knights within your Kingdom, and interactions between factions. You send messages such as "Kingdom X begins to mobilize it's expeditionary force to venture out into the vast unknown territory," or "Kingdom Y requsts aid from X to form a military alliance to curb the unhinged expansion of Kingdom A."

The objective isn't to win so much as to act out your nation in the over-arching narrative that you are all players in. And with a pre-written albeit barebones lore there's a lot of creative freedom to flesh out your nation's culture and game-to-game saves and different maps will allow a history to be built around it, with who won defining wars, and the spread of your civilization.

I hope that didn't come off as hella snobby or advertisy, I just really wanna get a game of RP together. We usually hit it up around 8/10PM EST but it's definitely negotiable, there's about four of us so far.
