Elephant Units LOS and Range

So this has been bugging me a lot. I recently listened a podcast on Indian military specifically on war elephants and learned how they were used and among other things the most important thing was the vision and range of elephant riders

In game, elephants lack LOS, which being on the back of a giant animal would be considerably high. And so does the archery range. Ancient Asian elephants used to have more than one fast firing archers and could fire a long distance away. In game, for the cost of the unit, it lacks a punch except HP. Ballista elephants are strong and so are war elephants. But the elephant Archer really is a waste of resources.
