So if you know Samurai revolutions video on the dutch FI your know about what i did, but i modified the strategy abit since i enjoy it more with age 3 ruyter and arty I want to say that im around level 16 in standart supremacy so no mlg pro moves should be expected I want to hear your opinion on my buildorder since i startet working on it, testing vs AI and now vs players online
So start with 3 vills on coin the rest on food, my first shipment is 3 vills i age with 16-17 vills and while age up i put all vills on wood exept about 2~3 are left on food, while aging i get the first lumberjack upgrade, I age with 500 food politician while aging i already start walling of my base so my skirms can't just get eaten by melee units, Once i hit age 2 i start collecting all the food and build my first bank (if i see enemy goes already for aggression i make a barracks first then banks), then a barracks and with the second shipment 700wood i build another bank, i start with making the first skirms now (as said, if enemy goes for very early aggression i start with them earlier) while in age 2 (if enemy pushes hard i make additionally more skirms) My 3rd shipment is 700food, then my 4rd is 600wood In this time i keep getting my skirm numbers up to ~10 skirms (extensive micromanagement, hit amd run and all is needed behind the walks for the skirms to be usefull, i usally build a second layer of walls behind the normal wall if it gets broken my skirms can retreat further back I keep creating vills this whole time and making banks untill i have all 4 About now i can age up to age 3 i take ether the politician with 5 halberdiers or the admiral of the ocean with 1 caravell and 400 wood, (based on if its a land or water map where a boat could be usefull to raid villagers) When i aged up i get ether the 9 ruyter/8skirms shipment if i need to counter cav/if i can raid enemy vills skirms if im under pressure from heavy infantry or if i just need to reach the next age i just get the 1000 food and click strat into age I build while aging to age 3 2 stables and create 10 ruyters to have a raiding group of 19 ruyters which can comfortly hit and run melee units and kill villagers
When aging to age 4 i ether take the 9 ruyters or 8 skirms, based on what i need to counter Or if im losing banks i get the 1000 coin so i have the coin ready
While aging i usally ship the "religous freedom" card for the chrurch so i can research the stadhouders once i hit age 4 The first thing i ship once i hit age 4 is the 2 heavy cannons after that i have the 17 ruyters, the "dutch conter cavalery" shipment with 10 halberdiers and 4 ruyters or if i have the coin ready some carib blowgunners or a mercenary army
It happend quit often that people where pushing me and while they felt comfortably pushing in my base i drop the stadhouders and arty and crush there army, i usally create ruyters in that moment aswell to have even more fighting power
Then its all about striking them as hard as i can, take down TC, vills/eco and just as mutch as i can when the enemy is overwhelmed by this army, I ether get mortars if they have heavy fortified areas with forts and towers, or horse arty for more mobilty with the ruyters to hunt down there stuff which is usally spread accross the map since the enemy is in panic and in need to rebuild TCs and houses for pop space
The most natural counter for this if it hits this stage is another unique church unit shiment like the british "Rogers Rangers", those 26 age 4 skirms rekt the stadhouders, also the Ottoman "Topcu corps" (i think thats the name) with the 3 bombards seems to should be at least somewhat good vs the stadhouders
Or ofc if your normally created army consists of skirms, falconets, lancer like units.... The usally infantry counter units you can hold reasonably well aswell
