"What are you playing on?" - Wars

I read the rules. Maybe its spam. Idk. Sorry if it is. I read a lot about PS5 reveal and console wars lately. (Router, fridge stuff). And i just wanted to add my mustard (greetings from germany) to this whole debate and ask who is thinking like me.

I never cared about consoles since my parents nerver bought me one when i was younger. I always had a PC or handheld to use. I was at a friends house like every weekday to play (PS2 it was) and i sucked. He mainly played with a controller. First person games etc. But my uncle got me hooked on strategy. Age of empires 2. (Yes the original 20 years ago). So i was more of the mouse guy. Definitly played CoD 4 when i was like 14. And i never disliked using a controller. But aiming with it felt so wrong. Where racing games with WASD sucked. Bcs of the all or nothing input of the keyboard.

Skip to x years later. I met the guy i played with in my hometown and we decided to play some shit together. Old times and stuff. Just for fun. I got a ps4 for horizon zero dawn before. (I loved it). And he didnt have a PC at the time. So i got rainbow six siege for ps4. I could not kill a guy until like 30 hours in the game bcs the only thing i had shot in a decade were mechanical dinosaurs. After some time i really got decent at console aim and we ranked up to about top 10%. i am not a god at shooting like he is on console. But i excell at strategy, information and calls. So we made a pretty good Team. Even though i suck a console aim. Neither of us alone would have made it that high in the league alone.

Tldr section:

If you can have fun playing with your friends it does not matter what you play on. Even if you have different skill levels on different input systems. Most important is that we are all together. We do complete each other and learn from another. I love that. And i would love if xbox and psx would grow some reproduction organs and just let us play with everyone in every game that is not exclusive.(not excluding PC here but some players consider pc an advantage while others even say disadvantage. Its just what youare used to your whole gaming life)
