I would say that infantry, as of now, are pretty weak in Late Fuedal to Early Imp, so to fix this problem I have come up with a solution! We could:
- Reduce cost of Supplies from 150f 100g to 100f 85g
- Reduce cost of Long Swordsmen from 200f 65g to 150f 50g
- Reduce the cost of Two-Handed Swordsmen from 300f 100g to 250f 100g
- Reduce the cost of Iron Casting from 220f 120g to 200f 100g
- Increase Two-Handed Swordsmen hp from 60 to 65
- Increase speed of Long swordsmen, Two-Handed Swordsmen and Champions from 0.9 to 0.95
This would mean that FU Long swordsmen in Castle Age cost drops by 120f 50g, paying for another 2-3 Long swordsmen which now move at 1.045 tiles/second instead of 0.99.
Early Imp the Two-Handed Swordsmen now have +5 hp (and cost -170f 50g to fully upgrade) allowing for the unit to be less squishy.
A table showing the effects:
Amount of attack (after armour) | Hits the Two-Handed Swordsmen could take before | Hits it could take after +5 hp buff |
---|---|---|
3 attack | 20 | 22 |
4 attack | 15 | 17 |
5 attack | 12 | 13 |
6 attack | 10 | 11 |
7 attack | 9 | 10 |
8 attack | 8 | 9 |
9 attack | 7 | 8 |
10 attack | 6 | 7 |
11 attack | 6 | 6 |
12 attack | 5 | 6 |
13 attack | 5 | 5 |
14 attack | 5 | 5 |
15 attack | 4 | 5 |
So, as you can see, my suggested buffs make teching into Infantry slightly cheaper and make the unit a little bit better at surviving against other unit's attacks. What do you think of the changes?
