Camel Archer vs. Mangudai

So I was just taking a peak at the stats for the camel archer on the age of empires wikia and then I got curious about how they compare to the other mounted archer UU, the Mongol Mangudai. I was quite surprised by what I found and (on paper) it would seem that the Camel Archers are (possibly) just as viable, or possibly better, than the Mangudai as a DPS killing unit.

Here are the highlights of what made me ask this question:

• Both units have the same range and accuracy.

• One of the weaknesses of the Mangudai is that they are slow to get going. The Camel Archer is 5 gold and wood cheaper and trains 5 seconds faster (before their unique tech) so they are easier to mass quickly. Also, the Elite Camel Archer upgrade costs 1000 wood and 500 gold vs the Elite Mangudai cost of 1100 food and 650 gold (although maybe this is a win for the Mangudai since the units themselves cost wood). Also the E. Camel upgrade completes 5 seconds faster than the E. Mangudai upgrade (pre Berber UT)

• The (Elite) Camel archers have 7 (8) attack and the (Elite) Mangudai have 6 (8) attack. But the Mangudai have a slightly higher rate of fire at 1.7 vs. the Camel Archer's 2.03. Both units have the same frame delay.

• The Camel Archer has 55 (60) hp and the Mangudai has 60 hp. Notably, the Mongols get Parthian tactics (+1/+2 armor and attk bonus vs. spear line) while the Berbers do not. Also the Mangudai is .05 faster than the Camel Archer.

• In a cav archer duel, Camel Archer's have the obvious advantage of the bonus damage vs. cav archers.

Based on the stats, which I know don't tell the whole story, it would appear that, due to its cheaper cost, faster creation speed, and slightly superior base stats, the Camel Archer is a better overall unit in the Castle Age than the Mangudai, but in Post Imp the Mangudai surpasses the Camel Archer due to it's better rate of fire and having access to Parthian tactics.
