What's the nomad meta in your skill range?

I've been playing a lot of nomad recently, and I'm a bit of a noob. I usually play with ~1500-1800 on steam. My experience:

  • 1500s or below - spend first five minutes walking around until they find a place with around 500 total food (excluding shore fish), then wall up and try to get to imp, with about six villagers on gold throughout. Build 1st house next to TC.
  • 1600s - spend a minute looking round 'just in case' they find a good spot similar to the 1500s. Wall and boom to 50-80 villagers, then make knights. Much more likely to dock fish, but will usually only have a few ships. Build 1st house on way to TC.
  • 17-1800s - drop TC on first wood they see. Build house then mill or dock whilst TC being built. Scout with vills and/or sheep. Will go ham with fish, and send a fire ship ASAP to harass enemy. Boom up to kts unless pressured. If neighbouring other player either rush, or tower as soon as they hit feudal.

What's your experience?
