Newb questions

Hello, long story short I repurchased this game and am going to be playing it with a few buddies soon. Looking for some tips as someone who hasn't played much in years.

1. Is there a tier list for the civs? Which ones lend themselves best for farming resources instead of building armies?
2. What are some good, simple play strategies to implement in a 2v2 conquest?
3. Important hot keys?
4. General units and buildings worth proiritizing across the board?
