Age of Mythology 2 eventually?

So the rumor is that Age of Mythology: Definitive Edition is coming out sometime after Age of Empires 4. So would it be weird to see that as we have Age of Empires 4 as a new game in the series that maybe we'd get Age of Mythology 2?

In the article he says "... do we do something grander with it, rebooting it or taking it in a new direction? There are so many opportunities..."¹

Basically they don't have any idea as of now. I'm not familiar with the gaming industry as much as professionals are in game development but I'm guessing they're doing the obvious here. Working on current projects and writing up new things for the whiteboard to make next. How people view Age of Mythology DE and Age 4 will most presumably influence the development of AOM2.
