My playgroup consistently has 3 or four on but we are noobly enough that we don't know of the meta/developing meta. We have an understanding of basic strategy but we would like to start practicing specific civs together to help develop our understanding of the composition and build player synergies. What advice do experienced players have about which civs go well together?
