Mods for CD version

I think someone already asked that question, can't find the post though. I have already changed the graphics.drs for small trees. Is there a way to implement graphic mods (e.g. grids, show what age players are in etc.) for offline play by replacing game files or something?

For ur info: I am using the 1.1 patch of aoc.
