Do you lose rating/elo when inactive?

Hi,

I see some people losing elo on the ladder who didnt play in a while. I can’t find anything about this penalty / decay though.

And if you for example still play a lot of team games but not 1v1 can you still lose 1v1 elo to decay?

Hope someone can link me towards some more info about this.
