Why is pausing in the game?

I find the ability to pause and online game stupid, this is not a Lan Party, people have stuff to do and no one should be made to wait for you to finish whatever got in your way of playing. If you had inminent stuff to do, you shouldn't have started a match. And if something just happened to show up, just go do it quick and come back, or just resign. Pauses should be for tournaments or lan parties only, not for randoms to use.

Also, FIFTEEN pauses PER player? That's insane for a game whose matches last for 20 minutes avg. Plus, why even have them? It's extremely common for someone to pause, only to get unpaused immediately after while they are away taking care of stuff, defeating the entire purpose.
