2v2 tactics

Old player getting back on the game, training against my friend for a few weeks and now we want to go online.

Do you do any specific changes in gameplay when playing 2v2 instead of 1v1? Is it viable for one player to be more aggressive and the other not? Or is it better to use a similar game plan?

I used to play 1v1 online fairly often a couple of years ago (my HD elo was around 1750) and play more aggressively (can do a good scout rush and an acceptable man at arms rush, usually try to end my games around Castle Age or early Imp at the latest). My friend is out of the game for a bit longer than that. He usually walls himself in and has a better late game than me, though I win most games.

Surely it would be better if we dominated both kinds of gameplay, but since it won’t probably be the case on our first games, I was looking for insights.
