AoE 1 original

I have installed the original Age of Empires 1 on my new laptop which has Windows 10 and I'm amazed that it works almost perfectly. I say almost because I get a brief screen freeze before sounds sometimes. For example: if a song ends the screen will freeze for a split second before the next song starts. Or if a villager is created, right before the creation sound the screen will freeze, but not always.

Is there any way to fix this problem?
