Revisiting AOE 3 and cant join an online game

Hey, I recently reinstalled aoe3 on steam and after a few single player games I was trying to join a lobby online but I get the "failed to join game" message. I know its an old issue but when I looked for google results, I can only find solutions which are 3 years old and are not ment for windows 10. So, can anybody tell me how to enable my internet for ES online?
