The Forgotten-campaign are a bad joke.

I just bought the AoE2 - pack on Steam for 40 USD, what IMHO is a pretty high price for a 20 years old game without any major upgrades and started "The Forgotten-campaign".

For the Alarich-campaign every game is filled up to 8 players with random "dark age" factions, so its basically unplayable. WTF?

So I tried the Dracula-campaign but I had to stop at the mission where I had to kill 500 enemies because the AI stopped producing units.

Then I tried the Bari-campaign and at the 2nd mission I kinda missed (cause no voice-acting) that I had to bring the relic back to the Normans, since their town is nowhere else referred to as "Capua" and the only two monastery that where revealed to me where the ones of the local Italians. So I dropped the relic in their first monastery, and when nothing happened I pushed forward and eventually got control of their town. So I thought it must be their second monastery on the far right. I paved the way to get there, easily killing almost all "rebels" in the process, since all their villages where idle. When there was no trigger after dropping of the relic again, I went back to the Norman-town and found their monastery. So I destroyed the allied Italian monastery, brought back the relic, and ONLY THEN, the rebel AI started to act, but it was too late for a good fight since I already destroyed everything in Bari.

Has no one ever playtested this shit? It was released 4 years ago, and Microsoft charges 10 USD for this. Completely wiped out all the nostalgia I had for this game...

Are there at least any workshop-patches to fix this? Its too late for me to return the game on steam, although I wish I could. Are the other two expansions also that bad?
