Any way to allow further zooming out without increasing resolution?

In 1080p, for me the game is too zoomed in. It prevents me from getting the overview I want. But I've noticed that the zoom level increases at higher resolution. So I can "fix" this by forcing my desktop resolution to something higher, which will downscale to my monitor. However this is kinda inconvenient as I'll have to go into my settings and change it (with all the weird side effects in windows this implies).

Is there any way to force a resolution in only AOE:DE? I've enabled the Nvidia DSR setting, but still only see normal resolutions in the game.

Maybe even better, is there any setting to increase the max zoom as a setting in the game? Ideally the developers should make the zoom level based on in-game distances and not screen pixels :/ This gives an unfair advantage based on what hardware a player owns.
