Full List of Balance Changes from The Conquerors to the Present

Since WololoKingdoms has become much more popular in Voobly very recently I feel this would be a good recap to showcase the changes that the old civilizations have experienced in the rather abrupt transition (in the case of Voobly or HD newcomers or recently comeback after a break) and also general changes to the game!

Britons:

  • Warwolf introduced. Trebuchets do blast damage, 100% accuracy against units!
  • Yeomen moved to the Castle Age and now affects the secondary arrows of Towers.
  • Longbowmen now train in 18 [1-] seconds.

Celts:

  • Stronghold introduced. Castles and Towers fires 25% faster.
  • Furor Celtica now gives 40%+ HP [10%-!].

:Franks:

  • Chivalry introduced. Stables work 40% faster!
  • Foragers now work 25% faster!!
  • Squires added to the technology tree!
  • All cavalry now get +20% HP instead of just Knights!
  • Non-Elite Throwing Axemen have a frame delay of 10 [2-], the upgrade to Elite Throwing Axeman now costs 1,000F/750G [100G-], both now have 1 speed [0.1+!] and 60 (70 for Elite) HP [10+!]*.

Goths:

  • Note that Goths doesn't receive any new technology.
  • Treadmill Crane removed from the technology tree.

Teutons:

  • Ironclad introduced. Siege weapon melee armor +4!
  • Town Centers now can garrison 25 units instead of having +2 attack and +5 LOS.
  • Non-Elite Teutonic Knights now have 80 HP [10+!] and both now have a speed of 0.7 [0.05+].

Vikings:

  • Chieftains introduced. It costs 700F/400G and gives all infantry +5 attack against cavalry and 4+ against camels!!
  • Berserkergang now costs 850F/400G [350F+!/450G-!!!].
  • Berserks now have 54 (62 for Elite) HP [4+!/2+!] and now trains in 14 seconds [2-!!].
  • Treadmill Crane added to the technology tree.
  • A team containing Vikings: Docks are now 15% cheaper [10%-].
  • Warships are now 15%/15%/20% cheaper in the Feudal/Castle/Imperial Age [5%-/5%-/0%].
  • Longboats no longer require a Castle!
  • Indirectly, Fire Galleys introduced and they lacking them greatly reduces their power in water.
  • Indirectly, Long Swordsman getting 5+ HP are benefited sightly more from the Viking bonus.

Byzantines:

  • Greek Fire introduced. Fire Ships +1 range.
  • Indirectly, Fire Galleys being introduced synergies with their bonus and new technology better.

Persians:

  • Boiling Oil introduced. Castles +9 bonus damage against rams.
  • Non-Elite War Elephants now deals Trample damage like Elite always did.

Saracens:

  • Madrasah introduced. Monks return 33 gold when killed.
  • Markets now cost -75 wood.
  • Non-Elite Mamelukes now have an attack of 8 [1+!] and Elite Mamelukes now have a frame delay of 5 [5+!!!].
  • Mamelukes are not classified as a ship anymore, so fewer bonus damage on them!
  • Indirectly, Fire Galleys introduced greatly hurts their Galley bonus.

Turks:

  • Sipahi introduced. Cavalry Archers +20 HP!!
  • Elite Janissaries are now affected by the Turkish team bonus!
  • Gold Miners now work 20% faster [5%+!].
  • Indirectly, they benefit more from Cavalry Archers costing 10G-.

Chinese:

  • Great Wall introduced. Walls and Towers +30% hit points.
  • Non-Elite Chu Ko Nu now train in 16 seconds [3-!!].
  • Town Centers gain +5 LOS.

Japanese:

  • Yasama introduced. Towers fire 2 extra arrows.
  • Bloodlines added to the technology tree.
  • Gold Shaft Mining added to the technology tree.

Mongols:

  • Nomads introduced. Houses do not lose population when destroyed.
  • Mangudai (non-Elite) frame delay reduced to 5 [5-!!].
  • Elite Cannon Galleon removed from the technology tree.
  • Indirectly, they benefit more from Cavalry Archers costing 10G-.

Spanish:

  • Inquisition introduced. Monks convert faster.
  • A team containing Spanish: With patch 4.8, trade units now generate +25% gold [8%-!].
  • Missionaries now benefit from Bloodlines and Fervor.
  • Missionaries no longer require a Castle.

Huns:

  • Marauders introduced. Tarkans can be trained at the Stable!!
  • Cavalry Archers are now 10%/20% cheaper in the Castle/Imperial Age [15%-!!!/10%-!!].
  • Cannon Galleon removed from the technology tree.
  • Treadmill Crane removed from the technology tree.
  • Non-Elite Tarkans now have 100 HP and 8 attack [10+!!/1+!!].
  • Tarkans now have 3 pierce armor (4 for Elite) [1+!!!].
  • Indirectly, Houses now costing 5 less wood reduces their bonus impact.
  • Indirectly, Cavalry Archers now costing 10 gold less reduces their bonus impact a bit, but also reduces the impact of the nerf.

Koreans:

  • Panokseon introduced. Turtle Ships move 15% faster!!
  • A team containing Koreans: Mangonel line now has minimum range reduced instead of +1 range!!
  • Fortifications are now built 25% faster!!!!!
  • Turtle Ships now cost 180W/180G [20W-!!/20-G!!]
  • War Wagon now train in 21 seconds [4-!!!]
  • War Wagons now cost 110W/60G [10W-!]
  • Turtle Ships no longer require a Castle!!
  • Cavalry archer armor class added to War Wagons!!

Aztecs:

  • Atlatl introduced. Skirmishers +1 attack and range!!
  • Free Loom removed, but start with +50 gold.
  • Now start with an Eagle Scout.
  • Jaguar Warriors have 1 pierce armor [1+].
  • Elite Jaguar Warriors now have +11 attack against infantry [1+].
  • Indirectly, they benefit from the introduction of Eagle Scout and buffs on Eagle Warrior, but Sword-line has 2+ bonus against them starting Long Swordsman in exchange.

Mayans:

  • Obsidian Arrows introduced. Archer line has +6 attack vs standard buildings and stone defense.
  • Plumed Archers now cost 50W/50G [4+W!/4+G!]
  • The upgrade to Elite Plumed Archers now costs 500F/1,000W [200F-!]
  • Resources now last 15% longer [5%-!!]
  • Indirectly, they benefit from the introduction of Eagle Scout and buffs on Eagle Warrior, but Sword-line has 2+ bonus against them starting Long Swordsman in exchange.

General The Forgotten + Africans Kingdoms Changes:

  • Arson introduced. Infantry +2 attack vs standard buildings!
  • Arrowslits introduced. Watch Tower/Guard Tower/Keep +1/+2/+3 attack!
  • Eagle Scout introduced!
  • Fire Galley introduced!!!!!
  • Demolition Raft introduced!
  • Siege Tower introduced!
  • Transport Ships available in Dark Age and can carry herdable animals!!!
  • Onagers can kill trees!!!!!
  • Cartography is free to research and is researched almost instantly!!!!!
  • Fervor now works!
  • Camels are not classified as a ship anymore, so fewer bonus damage on them!
  • Guard Towers and Keeps get +1 attack!!
  • Building HP greatly reduced in Dark and Feudal Age.
  • Houses now cost 25 wood [5-!!!].
  • Stone Walls now takes 10 seconds to be built [2+!!!]* and Palisade Walls now takes 6 seconds to be built [1+!].
  • Outposts now costs 25W/5S [5S-!].
  • Town Patrol now costs 300F, 100G [100G-].
  • Murder Holes now costs 200F/100S [100S-!].
  • Cavalry Archers now cost 40W/60G [10G-!!!].
  • Camels now have 6 base attack [1+!] and 10+ bonus against Cavalry [1-].
  • Long Swordsmen, Two-Handed Swordsmen, and Champions now have 6+/8+/8+ vs Eagles [2+!!!]
  • Man-at-Arms, Long Swordsmen, Two-Handed Swordsmen and Champions now have 2+/3+/4+/4+ against buildings [1+!].
  • Eagle Warriors now have 55 HP [5+!!], their upgrade now costs 200F/200G [100F-!!] and speed is now 1.15 [0.05+!!].
  • Two-Handed Swordsman now have an attack of 12 [1+!].
  • Long Swordsmen now have 60 HP [5+!!].
  • Squires now costs 100F [100F-!!].
  • Tracking now costs 50F [25F-].
  • Trade Cogs now generates +30% gold!
  • Capped Ram garrison 5 units increased from 4.
  • Scorpion projectile size increased.*
  • Monks holding relics suffer from anti-monk damage.
  • Chemistry affects Castles and Town Centers.
  • Trebuchets can attack trees much more effectively.
  • Villagers can be garrisoned inside rams.
  • Heavy Camel upgrades now takes 105s *[20s-]*.
  • Castles +1 LOS (range bug).
  • Petards now cost 65F, 20G *[15F-]*.
  • Fish Traps now takes 40s to build *[20s-]*.
  • Banking and Coinage research time increased from 50s to 70s, Banking now costs 300F/200G *[100F+/100G+]** and Coinage 200F/100G [50F+/50G+].*

General Recent Changes Rise of Rajas:

  • Battle Elephants introduced!!!
  • Arrowslits moved to Imperial Age, now costs 250F/250W [100F+/100W+], it's effect got reduced from 2/4/6 to 1/2/3 and it was removed from the following civilizations: Ethiopians, Goths, Huns, Indians, Magyars, Malians, Mayans, Mongols, Persians, Portuguese, Slavs
  • Elite Skirmisher upgrade now costs 200W 100G [50W-!!/60G-!!!].
  • Husbandry now costs 150F [100F-!!!] and research time changed to 50s [-10s!].
  • Siege Tower now costs 200W/160G [100W-!!!]
  • Anti-camel bonus increased for all anti-cavalry units (except camels).
  • Condottiero now have an unique armor class and doesn't resist Cataphract, Jaguar and Plumed Archer bonuses anymore, they now have 0 base pierce armor [1-!!] and 9 base attack [1-!!].
  • Eagle Warriors now trains in 35s [3+!] and have a speed of 1.15 [0.05-!!].
  • Acacia Trees are now worth 150W (increased from 100W)
  • Fire Ships are now affected by Ballistics
