Pike/Siege push

Hey guys,

I tried pushing with siege and pikes in castle age a few times and I always failed, in my understanding because I couldnt really make enough damage fast enough and the push was very focused on one point. A castle or mediocre defense completely stopped me and I was behind in eco. Its also very micro intensive, which doesnt help 11

So my question is: what tips can you give for executing this kind of strat? Is it even viable? When would you go for it?

Also what civs apart from the obvious celts would you recommend?
